An official veterinarian of New Zealand must verify that no case of rabies has ever occurred in New Zealand and that the cat has been located in New Zealand 6 months prior to shipment or since birthor that the cat originated in Canada and are thus are being returned directly from New Zealand. If your cat has been located in a country other than New Zealand or Canada in the 6 months prior to shipment he/she needs to be accompanied with a valid rabies vaccination certificate. This certificate can either be in French or English and should be completed by a licensed veterinarian from the country of origin. The certificate must clearly identify your cat and show that he/she is vaccinated against rabies.
